The Lodge

Inside the lodge. Taken from my seat as I am comfortable in my chair drinking coffee. Will take more surely.

Lake in the morning.

The lake first thing the other morning. Throughout the morning rainbows would appear on the lake as the sun came through the clouds to reflect the light.

The weather is the most variable I've ever seen in a single day in a single place.

Barnes creek

Taken from a bridge that runs through the woods on the way to work. This creek feeds the lake, partly from glacier melt, partly from snow.

Lake Crescent / Storm King Peak

Most of these pictures were taken from a peak here at Lake Crescent called Storm King. The lodge, and the city of Port Angeles which borders on the Strait of Juan de Fuca are at 500 ft. The peak is at 4500 feet. It was an overcast day, hence the strange lights. Sometimes the light pointed through the clouds to illuminate spots on the water. From that high up you could also see how the wind pushes the water. When you are at the shore, it just looks like white breaks.

Hope you enjoy.
